This Bollywood director's strategy seems to be to float an actor's name before he signs on the star, in a bid to rope in a moneyed producer.
An upcoming film, which is apparently going on the floors this January, is said to star Athiya Shetty in the lead role. When media called up Athiya, she informed us that she wasn't in the running.
When media called the director again, he promptly said he meant Alia Bhatt and not Athiya. Then he added that not only Alia, but even Akshara Hassan was being considered.
We have a feeling we haven't heard the last of it.
