Dil Raju is producing a film with Tamil superstar Vijay with the title 'Varisu' in Tamil and 'Varasudu' in Telugu.
Though he is a Tamil star he is well known for Telugu audience and so the traction is expected to be big in AP and Telangana as well. Vamshi Paidipalli is the director.
As Vijay is a big superstar, business was done in a big way to a tune of more than Rs 100 cr. But now the tension is with other Telugu biggies that are competing with this film.
Dil Raju blocked the Sankranthi season for this film long ago. But Prabhas' Adipurush is coming up in the same season.
Not stopping there both Chiranjeev's Waltair Veerayya and Balakrishna's Veera Simha Reddy are coming up in the same season. If this happens, it becomes difficult for Dil Raju's 'Varasudu'.
Dil Raju should look into all the four films as a distributor for Naizam. He needs to take care of two films as the distributor in Vizag. But the problem is the priority of the audience. They first wish to see the films of native actors and only then they think about Vijay's film.
But Dil Raju has no other option to change the release date. Because, it is fixed to release its Tamil version 'Varisu' in the same Pongal season in Tamil Nadu.
So until and unless this film gets very good talk, it cannot sustain the competition from the other three biggies.
