It is official that Nizam distribution rights of Baahubali: The Conclusion were bagged by Asian Film Distributors for a whopping 45 crore.
While everyone is going gaga over this mega deal, ace producer and veteran film distributor Dil Raju is said to be unhappy about it.
Dil Raju released Baahubali: The Beginning in Nizam area and made a fortune out of it. He was confident that the second part’s distribution rights also will be sold to him. However, neither of the Baahubali makers nor Rajamouli contacted Dil Raju to discuss about it.
Asian Film distributors came up with an offer that the makers couldn’t refuse and sealed the deal.
Dil Raju is claimed to be upset with the Baahubali makers as they didn’t even contact him before closing the deal.
Apparently Dil Raju would have given the same or a better price for the distribution rights as he want to be associated with the legendary film in some or the other way.
As per rumor mills, Dil Raju is particularly miffed with the Asian Distributors issuing press release regarding the deal and also Baahubali makers making it official through social media.
While the producers remained silent about the closed deals of other areas, they have made this one official. Dil Raju feels offended by this, claim gossipers.
Baahubali 2 makers have considered other options only if the part one distributors failed to come up with a satisfactory offer.
Wonder why Dil Raju wasn’t contacted before selling the Nizam distribution rights. Is it because of the issues related to Baahubali: The Beginning’s financial settlements or something else?
