Dhruva Not Taking Precautions?

Dhruva Not Taking Precautions?

If any hit film belonging to a particular language is remade in another language, it is essential that those who are re-making the film not only buy all the rights of it, but also ensure that the original movie is not available to the targeted audiences of the remake film.

Normally, those who do the remakes will take all precautions in this regard. They have to see that the videos of original version are not officially available in the market.

But it appears makers of forthcoming film “Dhurva” starring Ram Charan Teja are not taking any such precautions.

Everybody knows it is a remake of Tamil film “Thani Oruvan.” Naturally, audiences are curious to know how the original version is so that they can make a comparison with Dhruva when it is released. The fact that many audiences are evincing interest in watching Thani Oruvan indicates the possibility that they might not watch Dhruva.

There is nothing to hide in this theory. But the makers of Dhruva are not taking any measures to see that the print of the Tamil version is not available officially, even if it is on internet.

There is a possibility that people can watch the Tamil version directly on YouTube along with the sub-titles in the film. Since it is a matter of crore of rupees investment on the movie, it would have been better had the film makers ensured that the Tamil version is not available on internet.

As it is, average audiences have lost curiosity on Dhruva after knowing that it is only a remake. And if they can watch the original version on YouTube with subtitles, they may not evince interest in watching the Telugu remake again!
