More than a film maker, Dasari Narayana Rao is popular for his controversial statements these days. His fiery speeches and actions were the most talked about topics in the tinsel town.
Recently, the veteran director has come into the support of Television artists and blasted the Telugu channels for airing dubbing serials. He alleged that dubbing serials are suppressing local talents and insists a ban on them.
This is one side of the coin. The most shocking aspect is that the director owns a distribution company and he is releasing dubbing films like 'Viswaroopam' here. Giving no heed to the rule in Tollywood, at one point, Dasari has geared up to pit 'Viswaroopam' against ‘Naayak’ and ‘SVSC’ for pongal. However, it is a different case that the Kamal Haasan starrer was postponed due to some issues thus exposing the true colors of Dasari.
Insiders say Dasari will talk something and does the other thing. He has no control over his tongue and he twists it either ways. One side he insists ban on dubbing serials and the other side he releases dubbing films here. If he is really concerned about the welfare of the industry, first he should stop releasing the dubbing movies here. But, will he do that? The answer is NO, contends a source.
