Rajamouli’s “RRR” made a stunning pre-release business. Trade pundits opine that the film created a new record in pre-release deals.
Producer Danayya made a cool Rs 100 crore profit on his part. But this was all in August 2021.
But he has lost money due to Andhra Pradesh ticket rates and other issues. His profit will come down to 30 Crore. Furthermore, he fears that he may have to lose more money as the film was postponed indefinitely.
The latest reports say “RRR” may get a chance to have theatrical release only in April. Until then he will have to pay the interest on the investment.
The team will also have to spend money on promotions again when the release date nears. So, the cut in profits will be huge.
At the beginning of the film, many commented, “Danayya Nakkani Tokkadu”. But now, they are not envious of his position.
Directed by Rajamouli, “RRR” stars NTR and Ram Charan in the lead roles.
Danayya also announced a film with Chiranjeevi in the direction of Venky Kudumula. He will also bankroll Prashanth Neel’s new film.
