It is an open secret in the Telugu film industry that music director Mani Sharma lacks originality and most of his music compositions are either straight lifts or a little modified tunes belonging to other language films. Remember, the so-called hit "Vayassunami Thakenammi" from Jr NTR-block buster film "Kantri" which was a straight lift from a Tamil film?
Now, this copycat music director did not leave the famed Pakistani political song "Jiye Jiye Jiye Bhutto Benazir," which was composed for the election campaign of late Pakistan Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto more than one and a half decades ago. The song has become so popular that it still rings in the minds of not only Pakistanis, but also in India. In fact, the tune was imitated in a couple of Bollywood films as well.
Mani Sharma has just copied this tune for the political song rendered by upcoming hero Ramcharan Teja for Praja Rajyam Party. The lyrics and tune are exactly similar to that of Benazir Bhutto. And the video clippings of the song-recording were shamelessly released to the electronic media!
