It is quite common in the industry for heroes to turn producers. Recently a comedy hero also turned producer and entrusted the direction to quite a notable director.
The movie prior to release attracted a lot of attention and hype among both the class audiences and the mass audience where the hero has a strong following.
However, belying all expectations, the movie turned out to be a disaster at the box-office and the young hero lost his investment.
Since, it was his own film; there was no question of remuneration. But even then, the total losses for the hero came to around Rs 5 crore.
The hero himself is telling this fact to his well-wishers and expressing his disappointment.
