There is no doubt that the only successful formula which is minting money at the box office in Tollywood is comedy.
Without comedians in strong padding roles, even the big league heroes are unable to get their hits. So, it is obvious that demand for comedians is high. But here is some info which is more than one can imagine.
It is heard that these days a set of comedians are minting money as they charge on daily basis.
Buzz is that the likes of Dhanraj, Tagubotu Ramesh, Saptagiri, Ravi, Chanti, Nalla Venu, they are charging per day basis. And here is the interesting part, it is heard that their remuneration is nothing short of 40k per day.
Except Tagubothu Ramesh rest all have got their name and fame from ‘Jabardasth’ program in ETV. For smaller films negotiations are happening but for other films the price is fixed and most of them are agreeing.
Before ‘Jabardasth’ it is heard that they used to get 10k to 15k as overall remuneration for film. But now their range is totally different. With them becoming noted and their talent being explored, whistles are coming in theatres and money is flowing into their pockets.
