It did come as a surprise when Akkineni Nageswara Rao called for a hasty press meet during the shooting of ‘Manam’ and announced that he has cancer and he is going to overcome it. While Akkineni fans are worried, it is heard that few groups are wondering if this is some publicity stunt.
As such, Naga Chaitanya doesn’t have a hit to talk about and even Nagarjuna’s new movie ‘Bhai’ has begun to get somewhat negative talk even before its release.
At this point of time, ANR’s gesture is being deemed as a stunt to grab attention for ‘Manam’ and it was a planned move by the Akkinenis.
However, this buzz has been condemned strongly by Nagarjuna. He has reportedly made it clear that his father’s press meet was with an intention to show other cancer patients that even they can overcome it with their will but it has nothing to do with the publicity of ‘Manam’.
Nag reportedly reiterated that it is only him who is the publicity and if he doesn’t like a film then he will straight away say no.
Nag concluded that his family doesn’t have the cheap nature of drawing attention and mileage through some announcements. He has cautioned that those who are doubting ANR’s intentions, they should check their wisdom.
