The distributors and exhibitors have lost heavily on the film. Some of them came to Hyderabad and even staged a dharna outside the office of YVS Choudhary. They later barged into his office and damaged the furniture and other belongings. They were demanding that YVS Choudhary should compensate for their loss.
Reports say that while many people lost a lot of money, third party buyers in particular, the major distributors and producer VYS Choudhary made profits. YVS Choudhary is stated to have made table profit of about 11 crore.
It would be interesting to see if YVS will compensate the people who have lost money on his film. Superstar Rajnikanth in Tamil Nadu is known to compensate the producer and distributors if his film fails at the box office. Will YVS Choudhary Choudhary now emulate Rajnikanth or not? One will have to wait and see.
