With just his second movie “Solo- A Solid Love Story,” young hero Nara Rohit has become the talk of the town. And he has already joined the celebrity club of the Tollywood and getting rave reviews for his performance.
The interesting point about Rohit is not his acting skills, but something else. He is none other than son of Nara Ramamurthy Naidu, former Chandragiri MLA and brother of Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu. Naturally, Rohit has the indirect connection with the film circuit because of the Nandamuri family.
Obviously, Rohit’s entry into the Tollywood has triggered the speculations as to whether he is being promoted to counter Junior NTR, grandson of legend actor N T Rama Rao. There is already a talk in the film circles that Rohit can really give Jr NTR a run for his money because of his timing, diction and tone which are classy and powerful, as the viewers who watched his Solo movie put it.
Already, media circles are agog with speculations that all is not well between Nara family and Nandamuri clan represented by Harikrishna and Jr NTR, though Balakrishna has been supporting Chandrababu Naidu.
The speculations got the credence after Jr NTR took over the management of Studio N television channel earlier controlled by Naidu’s son Lokesh. Naturally, the entry of Rohit into the film circuit is being viewed as an attempt to give stiff competition to Jr NTR.
However, there are people who also say that it would take some consistent hits and strong performances for Rohit to go anywhere near Junior NTR. Already, the young tiger has got a charisma of his own among the masses. So, if Rohit gives that sort of intense performances and blockbuster hits then yes, there is a chance.
