A relative of YSR did a movie called Yogi with Prabhas and Nayanthara in the lead roles.
Nayan was much in demand then and reportedly got a blank cheque from the producer of Yogi, to be a part of the project.
Not wanting to lose out on the opportunity, Nayan reportedly cashed it for Rs 3 crore. Horrified at this, the producer convened a panchayat of industry elders and finally managed to get them to convince Nayan to take a fair remuneration.
Recently, a Tamil producer also gave Nayan a blank cheque, it seems. Unfortunately for Nayan, the cheque bounced and she made a hue and cry of it.
But before she could complaint to the authorities, the producer turned up at her door step with cash. In their craze for roping in the top heroines, the producers are going overboard.
It is high time that they be more sensible about this aspect of film-making.
