It has been three years since the film "Bharat Ane Nenu", made in the combination of Koratala-Mahesh Babu, was released.
It's sheer bad luck that Koratala couldn't make any film for three years after that. He has been facing many interruptions ever since he started the film "Acharya" with Mega Star Chiranjeevi.
Initially he thought of placing Mahesh Babu as the second hero in the film but finally fixed it to Ram Charan. But Ram Charan is in the grip of RRR and he needs permission from Rajamouli to allot time for Acharya. Adding to this, the two waves of Corona pandemic is another reason for delay.
Meanwhile he made plans to pipeline his next film with Bunny. But knowing that Bunny is not going to be free from Sukumar so soon as Pushpa is being made in two parts, Koratala moved to NTR.
Even NTR is with RRR and he needs to finish that to join Koratala.
If everything falls in place, the shoot of Acharya may be completed by August. So, by all means, Koratala's Acharya may be released only in 2022.
Though almost every director's career is facing the wrath of the Corona pandemic, the plight of Koratala Shiva is a bit worse.
