Just like corruption is rotting the growth of our country, the Telugu film industry is rotting with severe caste feeling. Though many come in front of media and make tall claims about Tollywood being secular, the fact remains that there are many in key positions of the industry who give caste more importance than talent.
Here is one such example. A noted producer who has been making big budget movies has got a nasty caste feeling. Anyone who is going for a chance to work with him, his first question is – Are you Kamma, Naidu or Reddy? Only if the person is Kamma he is giving job and others he is asking them to buzz off.
Some of them are wondering why he is doing like that and that too so deliberately. In fact, he is the same producer who is working with a director of another community who has a proven track of success. This gives rise to another question, why he is showing this caste discrimination at lower level? The cine folks won’t really open their mouth because this producer is a very rough guy.
