Venkat Prabhu is a reputed Tamil director who has made the films 'Chennai 60028, Saroja, Goa, Mankatha and Biryani'. His movies tend to be different from the routine and have created a niche for Prabhu in Tamil industry.
Venkat Prabhu also happens to be the nephew of Ilayaraja. Naturally, Yuvan Shankar Raja, son of Ilayaraja and his cousin has composed the music for all his films. In fact many in the industry say that Yuvan reserves his best output for Venkat Prabhu.
Now, Venkat is doing another film titled Masss, a supernatural thriller with Suriya in the lead role. As usual, Yuvan was asked to compose the music for this film and he even completed three songs for the movie.
Now the industry is surprised at the news that Yuvan has been replaced with SS Taman. Reportedly, there was a spat between Suriya (who is co-producing the film as well) and Yuvan. This resulted in Yuvan having to leave the project.
Although Venkat Prabhu was not happy with the decision, he had to abide by it as the entire project would have been at stake.
