Telugus are a strange lot. If someone is doing well, they try their best to pull him down but if they fell someone is being targeted then they express their sympathies for that person and try to help him out. This has been clearly reflected in the case of Junior NTR.
Prior to the release of ‘Nannaku Prematho’, there was a lot of buzz on social media that Junior was being targeted by the trio of Balakrishna, Chandrababu and Lokesh.
It was rumored that his film was therefore not getting enough number of screens. And exactly on the eve of the movie’s release, Pawan Kalyan happened to file a case against producer BVSN Prasad who was also the producer for ‘Nannaku Prematho. Thankfully, it did not affect the release of the movie.
It was also widely circulated that a certain community was trying to ostracize NTR. All this helped to generate immense sympathy for NTR from other communities overseas and the result was that the movie grossed around 2 million dollars overseas.
Although the community allegedly trying to destabilize NTR is present in significant numbers overseas, they too did not patronize ‘Dictator’. Because cinema is different from caste, right?
