Megastar Chiranjeevi launched his much-awaited 150th movie the other day at his son Ram Charan’s production office. Though the pooja ceremony was a low-key affair, the launch ceremony created huge impact in the media as the major media outlets focused on this event.
Titled “Katthilantodu”, Chiranjeevi’s 150th movie will be commencing its regular shoot from June and the producer Ram Charan has already announced that the film would be hitting the screens in January 2017 around the time of Sankranthi festival.
Soon after Charan released the press note about the movie’s release, Nandamuri Balakrishna and his team of “Gauthamiputra Satakarni” called up the media and informed that Balakrishna’s 100th movie would also release on Sankranthi festival.
Though “Gauthamiputra Satakarni” was launched in big way on April 22nd, the makers didn’t mention the release date then. Only after Ram Charan announced the date of “Kaththilantodu”, the team of Balakrishna’s movie revealed that they are in the Sankranthi competition.
This act by “Gauthamiputra Satakarni” has received negative response from Nandamuri Balakrishna’s fans too on the social media. Balakrishna should have refrained from announcing the release date at this moment, say the die-hard fans of Balayya.
Both the projects are milestone movies in Chiranjeevi and Balakrishna’s careers and this competition between them don’t help any party, say the fans.
