It is official that Asian Films, one of the leading distributors in Nizam area, snatched the theatrical distribution rights of Tollywood’s biggie 'Baahubali The Conclusion'. What was not revealed by the team is the price.
GreatAndhra.com got reliable information that Asian Films’ Sunil Narang bagged the rights by paying the producers a whopping Rs 45 Cr. This is an all-time record price for Nizam area and it is almost double amount the first part was sold for.
Other big distributors like Suresh Babu and Dil Raju also were in competition but they didn’t come up with such huge price and Asian Films paid such staggering amount to which producers couldn’t stop giving them. This price created ripples in Tollywood.
Now the second part should gross minimum Rs 80 Cr in Nizam if the distributors have to get a break-even point.
“Baahubali The Beginning” grossed Rs 68 Cr in Nizam area. “Baahubali The Conclusion” which is also known as “Baahubali 2” is already sold for USA/Canada for a whopping Rs 43 Cr.
Now the Nizam, one of the biggest markets for Tollywood films, set an all-time new record in terms of pre-release business.
