Looks like Aishwarya Rai has had enough of playing the perfect Bachchan bahu. It’s been almost six years since Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan have been married.
And since then, she has been living as a part of a joint family along with father-in-law Amitabh Bachchan and mother-in-law Jaya Bachchan.
There have been various occasions like Diwali, Karva Chauth and birthdays where the entire Bachchan household was clicked together.
So, the latest rumour is that all this is going to change soon, if Aishwarya has her way. It is being said that Aishwarya is keen to move out of Jalsa, the Bachchan residence, a move into a new home with hubby Abhishek and her two-year-old toddler Aradhya.
The problem seems to be with her mom-in-law Jaya Bachchan who likes to keep a tab on the personal and professional matters of Aishwarya which has become a cause of concern for the latter.
Both Abhishek and Aishwarya were living with their parents before they got married. Way back in 2005 when the green-eyed beauty was asked if it was common for adult Indians to live with their parents on David Letterman’s show, she said it was perfectly normal and that they did not need to take an appointment with their parents to meet them for dinner.
In 2009, when she was asked about living with her in-laws by Oprah Winfrey on her show, Aishwarya said that it was natural for most Indian couples to live with their in-laws. She said that she was living with her parents prior to her marriage and saw no reason why she should not live with her in-laws post marriage.
Times have changed and looks like Ash’s opinion has changed too. Well, now she and hubby Abhishek will have to make appointments with the senior Bachchans, as both of them have a rather busy diary.
