Is there any connection between Praja Rajyam Party president K Chiranjeevi and the arrest of film producer Murali in connection with the drug racket on Friday evening?
The timing of Murali’s arrest gives rise to this suspicion, as he happens to be brother of actress Jeevitha, who along with her actor husband Dr Rajasekhar, have been the bitter rivals of Chiranjeevi and were instrumental in exposing the ‘commercialisation” of Chiranjeevi blood bank in the last one and a half years.
Interestingl, the arrest of Murali “red-handed” while buying cocaine by the task force police took place within a couple of hours of Chiranjeevi’s meeting with his fans associations. His brother-in-law Allu Aravind made a mention of vindictive attitude of Jeevitha and Rajasekhara and said they would have to pay a heavy price soon for their attack on Chiranjeevi and his blood bank.
Now that Chiranjeevi has almost joined the Congress, he would definitely use his clout to harass Jeevitha and Rajasekhar. As a first step, Jeevitha’s brother Murali could have been implicated in the drug racket and arrested, say political observers.
