Films are a strange medium and so are the actors. Often we hear of both male and female artistes saying that they don’t mind about their remuneration if their work is good.
However, fact remains that even they have to pay their bills and money does matter to one and all. So, we often hear of instances when a lead actor or actress had refused to shoot till their payment has been cleared.
But recently, Film Nagar was agog with news that Anuskha had slashed her price.
Naturally, that instantly became a point of discussion. However, if one digs a little deeper, the story is that Anushka had acted in Selva Raghavan’s film titled Urandaan Ulagam along with Arya.
But the film did not do well as expected both in Tamil and Telugu and this resulted in huge losses for the production house.
So, now the same production is making yet another film with Anushka and Arya. Incidentally, Anushka is the highest paid actress in south India today and she has good market both in Telugu and Tamil.
So, Anushka charges Rs 3 crores per film. But for this film, she is said to have slashed her price drastically to bail out the producers. Talk from Tamil industry is that Arya had also slashed his price to help them out.
It is indeed nice to know that actors like Anushka and Arya exist in a world where money matters above everything else.
