It looks like Ram Gopal Varma is not the only crackpot in the film industry. Another one by the name of Sanalkumar Sasidharan has surfaced in Malayalam. This director has decided to name his forthcoming movie as ‘Sexy Durga’.
For obvious reasons, there is a lot of resentment among the public at this title and demands have cropped up asking for the title to be dropped. But the director is adamant that he would not change his title.
And what’s more, he says that yielding to demands for changing the title would mean surrendering to an intolerant country.
Many girls across the nation are named after goddess Durga. What will be the plight of these girls at the hands of eve-teasers if such kinds of titles are encouraged? And what about the sentiments of millions of those who worship the mother Goddess.
But wait, we shall not speak out lest we be termed intolerant. As for Sanalkumar Sasidharan, can he not make his film stand out through its content rather than such cheap controversies?
