Has versatile comedian Ali got bored with film industry? The answer seems to be yes, if one were to believe the latest rumours about his future plans.
According to these rumours, Ali is planning to venture into politics, following the footsteps of his senior colleague Babu Mohan. He will try his luck in the next elections by contesting from the Rajahmundry assembly constituency, his native place.
Now the curious point is which political party he will choose to contest. According to reliable sources, Ali has kept his option open and wants to explore opportunities in the two leading parties - Telugu Desam and the Congress.
Making use of his intimacy with veteran producer Aswani Dutt, he is believed to have sent feelers to the TDP leadership that he is interested in contesting the next elections. Ali is believed to have monetary transactions with Ashwani Dutt.
On the other hand, Ali is not distancing himself from the Congress too. As he has been a close companion to Chiranjeevi, he is confident that he can get the Congress ticket even at the eleventh hour, in case he gets lukewarm response from the TDP.
Though entering politics is not a bad idea, what makes one worried is whether the film industry will lose yet another comedian; as once he enters serious politics, Ali cannot act in films.
