Robot was a super-successful film and the sequel is being readied now. With Rajinikanth returning as Chitti, this time it will be Akshay Kumar playing the prime nemesis to Thalaiva's character.
The shooting is in process and the film is expected to hit screens next year in April.
But we heard something interesting about the film which has surprised us. According to DNAIndia website, "Akshay Kumar has charged more than Rajni sir to be part of 2.0. It's unbelievable but true."
Akshay usually charges a hefty sum for his Bollywood outings too, along with a percentage of the film's profits.
For his South Indian debut film, he is only asking for a whopping remuneration and he's got it without any argument.
The source reveals, "The makers approached Salman and Hrithik initially for the role but they took a lot of time to give their nod. Talks didn't materialise and when they discussed it with Akshay, they needed someone immediately to begin shoots and they agreed to all his demands."
