Rumours are afloat in the Film Nagar circles that producers are hesitating to invest on Akkineni Akhil’s second movie, as his first movie bombed at the box office.
It is learnt Mythri Movie Makers, which evinced interest in making the second movie with Akhil, has backtracked after seeing the budget estimate projected by its director.
This has naturally hurt Akhil a lot. He did not like this kind of rumours as they would affect his image as a star.
Apparently, he has not taken it kindly the reports that producers are underestimating his stamina and hence, are hesitating to take risk on making films with him.
So, he made it clear to the media that there was no truth in such rumours and in fact, he did not even discuss the story idea with Mythri Movies.
It may be mentioned that actor-producer Nitin had to taste a bitter experience with Akhil by spending over Rs 40 crore on the latter’s first film.
However, it is not clear whether it was a failure in terms of budget or Akhil’s film really did not have the market.
Whatever it may be, Akhil has no choice but to face this kind of headaches since his first movie ended up as a disaster.
