Some time back, when the film released, the makers made a lot of noise and announced that their film despite being a small film was a big hit.
They also claimed that some big Hindi film-makers were keen on remaking the film and that all was well in paradise. And to top it all, they claimed that the film was in theatres for a very long time in some centre.
Well, beyond the hype, when gets into the actual story, it has emerged that the producer is now left with debts and nothing else.
Apparently, prior to production, two gentlemen loaned Rs 25 lakhs each to the said producer. And during the initial days, when the gentlemen approached the producer, it is said that he would be rather sweet and would send them back with assurances. He would also offer to get them dropped in his car.
However, when the same producer is approached now, he is said to be singing a totally different tune. Apparently, he told the gentlemen as to what he could do when he himself was in trouble.
Well, now the gentlemen are hoping that the producer gets to sell the satellite rights at least. But that too hasn’t happened as yet and given the market situation, the chances appear bleak too.
