Hyderabad: As expected, new developments are taking place in Tollywood.
“Acharya” had planned to compete with other biggies during Sankranthi 2022 festival season, but its plans backfired when Rajamouli had announced the release date of “RRR” as of Jan 7th.
Now, the makers of “Acharya” are talking about a new release date. That is December 17.
In a recent meeting held by Active Producers Guild, the producers of “Pushpa” and “Acharya” have failed to come to an agreement.
The makers of “Pushpa” have refused to their movie to 24th December from 17th December as they would face big problem in North Indian market.
“Pushpa” is being promoted as a pan-Indian project, and Ranveer Singh’s “83” is releasing on 24th December.
The team “Acharya” felt it would not be wise to come on 24th December as “RRR” is coming on 7th January. In both films, Ram Charan is acting as one of the leads. These movies require a minimum of three weeks of a gap.
Producers Naveen left for the USA without compromising on the date for “Pushpa”. They have also left the final decision to Megastar Chiranjeevi.
Even before Chiranjeevi calling them for a meeting, director Koratala Siva has called distributors and informed the new date – December 17.
The makers are going to announce this date in a day or two.
