Another Telugu film tanked at USA box office putting distributors and exhibitors in misery. By end of the first weekend, "Mister" collected below $100k and it is unlikely to add much amount further. So, Varun Tej starrer "Mister" is a total disaster at overseas box office.
Sreenu Vaitla's earlier movies like "Dookudu", "Baadshaha" and "Aagadu" earned millions of dollars in USA. Even his disaster "Bruce Lee" had collected $640k but his latest film has not able to get $100k opening weekend.
From February, Tollywood has been delivering only flops in North America market. "Winner", "Gunturodu", "Namo Venkatesaya", "Katamarayudu", "Guru" and "Cheliyaa" were miserable flops. Now Sreenu Vaitla's "Mister" adds to this list of duds.
All exhibitors are now waiting for the baap of all movies "Baahubali 2". Rajamouli's movie is going to create a new trend at USA box office as it would be releasing in record number of 1000 screens in North America.
No Indian film was released in such large number of screens so far. "Baahubali 2" will definitely be noticed by Hollywood makers.
