Mahesh Babu has once again proved his supremacy at the USA box office. “Sarkaru Vaari Paata” grossed $925k from premiere shows in the USA. It is the second-highest grosser on premiere day among Indian films this year.
Rajamouli’s “RRR” holds the record. However, Rajamouli’s film was released in multiple languages, and the film’s premiere numbers were included in the first-day collection ($5.5 million).
“Sarkaru Vaari Paata” was released in Telugu only. From 477 locations, the film grossed about 925k dollars on its Wednesday premiere. Some more locations are yet to be reported.
“Spyder” was the highest grosser (premiere day collection) in Mahesh Babu’s career. After the pandemic, no Telugu film touched $1 million on the premiere day barring Rajamouli’s 'RRR’
It remains to be seen how “Sarkaru Vaari Paata” would perform during the extended weekend.
