Director Teja in his recent interview said he doesn’t need good ratings for his films.
His argument is that films that got high ratings have flopped and films that got low ratings became blockbusters in the recent time.
His latest release “Sita” starring Bellamkonda Sai Srinivas, Kajal Aggarwal and Sonu Sood received low ratings and critics termed the film a big bore.
Teja wanted low ratings from critics as it would become huge hit. However, his film has turned into a disaster at the US box-office. His theory also flopped.
“Sita” didn’t even received $20k in its entire weekend. Teja’s movies don’t work in USA. His earlier film “Nene Raju Nene Mantri” that worked in domestic market was a flop in USA.
However, “Sita” is huge disaster. The distributor would not even recover the print and publicity costs.
