The much-hyped love story “Radhe Shyam” had a pretty decent hold over the weekend at the USA box office even though the collection is lower than expected.
For a big star like Prabhas, anything under $2 million gross in its opening is considered a disappointment.
Love stories and class movies tend to perform strongly at the USA box office compared to mass movies. But “Radhe Shyam” underperformed in the first weekend with a $1.7 million gross.
Meanwhile, the Hindi film “The Kashmir Files” overtook “Radhe Shyam” on Sunday. The Hindi film took in strong 200k plus dollars while Prabhas’s movie has raked in about 175k dollars.
