Last weekend, the films "Gandeevadhari Arjuna," "Bedurulanka 2012," "King of Kotha," and "Boys Hostel" were released in the United States.
Varun Tej is considered to have a strong following in the US market, following Chiranjeevi and Pawan Kalyan among mega heroes.
Nonetheless, his previous film "Ghani" and his latest film "Gandeevadhari Arjuna" demonstrated that he is making poor choices.
"Gandeevadhari Arjuna" will not even break the $100,000 mark by the end of its run. It is a colossal disaster and a disgraceful collection.
With no expectations, "Bedurulanka 2012" was released. It was expected to collect low because all of Kartikeya's recent films were flops. Still, it drew an okay collection.
The dubbed film "Boys Hostel" was also a flop. Even though it performed better than the Telugu films, Dulquer Salmaan's "King of Kotha" did not receive an impressive number.
The success of Rajinikanth's "Jailer" has continued. The film is approaching the $6 million mark.
