Ranbir Kapoor's film "Animal" has emerged as a major success in the overseas market, particularly in North America, surpassing the lifetime collection of Jr NTR and Ram Charan's "RRR."
The movie, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, is Vanga's second Bollywood film and third overall in his career.
Sandeep Reddy Vanga entered Bollywood with "Kabir Singh," a romantic drama starring Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani, which became a blockbuster success.
While "Kabir Singh" received praise for its raw portrayal of a love story, "Animal" has faced polarizing reactions, with some criticizing it for being overly brutal.
Despite the mixed reviews, "Animal" has proven to be a box office monster, achieving remarkable success.
According to trade analyst, the film has become the fourth highest-grossing Indian film of all time at the North American box office.
In just 23 days, "Animal" has collected an impressive $14.33 million in North America, surpassing the lifetime collection of "RRR" ($14.32 million).
It's worth noting that "RRR" achieved this number during its initial theatrical run, without including re-runs. If re-runs are considered, "RRR" stands at $15.34 million.
