Sharwanand’s “Ranarangam” has got a bumper opening. The film that hit the screens on August 15 took a good start at the box-office despite competition from Adivi Sesh’s “Evaru”.
Sharwanand is also going through the bad phase. Despite all these factors, the film is off to a great start.
Since it is a mass film and gangster drama, the team didn’t hold premiere shows in the USA. So, it mainly depended on AP and TS collections on Day 1.
The film took nearly Rs 3.83 Cr share in Telugu states making it the biggest opening in Sharwanand’s career.
His previous film took only Rs 1.80 Cr in AP and TS, while it got more than the double opening.
Directed by Sudheer Varma, “Ranarangam” starred Kalyani Priyadarshan and Kajal Aggarwal.
