Indeed, The Boss is Back! Megastar Chiranjeevi has shown that his craze never dies by creating tremors at the box office on the day 1 of Khaidi No. 150.
The film has beaten all existing Non-Bahubali records and has wiped off Baahubali day 1 records in many areas.
Such a response for Megastar’s comeback film in the domestic circuit was predicted by fans and some trade sources, but it pulled off an unimaginable feat in US by collecting $1251K from its premieres.
Not even fans and the US box office trackers predicted this mayhem. It is only the second film in Telugu cinema history to amass Million dollars from the premiere shows.
It almost posed a threat to the premieres record of Baahubali ($1364K) at one point. Khaidi No. 150 surpassed Sardaar Gabbar Singh premieres gross ($643K) even before the first show was screened. Megastar fans are particularly thrilled about Khaidi No. 150’s performance at the US box office.
It remains to be seen how far this mass entertainer can go with films like Gautamiputra Satakarni and Shatamanam Bhavati to compete with. Both these films are likely to do well in overseas. Day 2 trends of Khaidi No. 150 are encouraging as of now.
