Those who watched the premier shows of RX 100 expressed to different opinions: one set felt the movie would be a blockbuster, the other set felt the money would do well in multiplexes.
RX 100 made on a budget of only Rs 2.5 crore has created a sensation at the box-office collecting a share of more than Rs 5 crore in the first weekend in the Telugu States. There was no remuneration for the hero as the producer happens to be his babai.
The film’s overseas rights, and AP, Karnataka and Telangana rights were sold on a minimum guarantee basis with producers getting share in the overflows.
The overflows have started in the first week itself and another plus point for the film is the house full shows which make documenting the overflows easy.
Even Chinna Babu which received decent reviews has been unable to withstand the onslaught of RX 100. There are two films releasing next week and it is doubtful whether they can put a check to the film.
The satellite and digital rights of the film are still with the producer who is expecting around Rs 4-6 crore for them.
Ironically, a big producer who made a Rs 100 crore film amid a lot of tension recently did not get even this much amount.
