The massive success of "Baahubali 2" has helped Rana immensely. It has created a ready made market for his next movies and this is evident with the openings his latest movie has received.
Despite heavy competition from two other movies "LIE" and "Jaya Janaki Nayaka", Rana has pulled the crowds to the theaters on the opening day.
Thanks to his father D Suresh Babu who controls major theaters in AP and Telangana, "Nene Raju Nene Mantri" got best screens and more number of theaters. Hence the movie got its edge in collections too.
"Nene Raju Nene Mantri" took in Rs 3.72 Cr in AP and Telangana on Day 1, which is pretty good amount for a Rana starrer.
On the other hand, the movie took in 240k dollars on day one with premiere gross at USA market.
