The theaters re-opened in Telangana and some centers in Andhra Pradesh last week.
The response for the last week’s releases was lukewarm with Satyadev’s “Thimmarusu” and Teja Sajja’s “Ishq” biting the dust.
However, a fresh batch of releases queued up for this weekend. About 6 new films will hit the screens this Friday.
Kiran Sabbavaram starrer “SR Kalyana Mandapam” is notable among the new releases. Kiran Sabbavaram made his name with “Raja Vaaru Rani Vaaru”. The film’s trailer looked entertaining.
A youthful romantic comedy “Ippudu Kaaka Inkeppudu” also made it to the headlines as it ran into controversy. The film’s trailer reportedly hurt religious sentiments.
“Mugguru Monagallu”, “MAD”, “Merise Merise”, and “Ksheera Sagara Madhanam” are the other small-budgeted movies that have geared up for release this Friday (August 6).
