Despite heavy rains, Nani's 'Majnu' grossed pretty well on the first day. While entire Telangana state including the capital city Hyderabad is inundated with rains, the movie collected about Rs 1.05 Cr on the first day in the state.
In Andhra Pradesh, the movie has collected more than Rs 1.50 Cr on the first day notwithstanding heavy rains in several parts of the state.
The talk is also decent though not great. So the trade pundits feel that the movie might become a safe project for buyers if it continues to perform like this over the week.
Nani is also praying that the rains would stop now so that his movie has chance to collect more.
"Majnu" starred Nani and new heroines Anu Emmanuel and Priya Sri in the lead roles while Virinchi Varma directed it. Geetha Golla is the producer.
Nani has given two hits this year and he is hoping to round off this year with hat-trick of successes.
