Box-office has seen biggest battle at Pongal time and it turned out to be boon for the distributors. All three movies that were released last weekend had posted stunning numbers at North American box-office.
"Khaidi No 150", "Gautamiputra Satakarni", and "Shatamanam Bhavati"...all three films have exceeded expectations and grossed great amount.
Altogether all three movies have collected about 3.8 million dollars. Hindi release "Ok Jaanu" and Tamil film "Bhairava" didn't find takers as three Telugu films dominated the show.
"Khaidi No 150" slowly but steadily crossed the 2 million mark. By end of Sunday, the film has collected about 145k. The film has to gross another 300k dollars to enter into profit zone.

Nandamuri Balakrishna's "Gautamiputra Satakarni" has performed exceedingly well. It was the talk that the film was made in mere 79 days and still Krish brought so much quality that did the trick. This word of mouth helped the film grow as the days have passed. And now the film is already a break-even project for distributors.

Last year, Sharwanand scored a hit with "Express Raja" that collected a little above $400k. This year his "Shatamanam Bhavati" took great openings and it is a safe project for the distributors.
