83 is the film that was brought on to the screen much to the excitement of cricket lovers.
The re-creation of the times of 1983 World Cup season and Ranveer Singh's portrayal as Kapil Dev are so spectacular that many thought that this film would set new records in theatrical business.
But alarmingly, many of this film's shows are discontinued and replaced by 'Spiderman' and 'Pushpa' in different centers.
As per a report in national media, 10-15% of the '83' shows have been discontinued across India. On a whole, the film could reach the collection of 25% of what Pushpa made so far. The trade circles are waiting to see if this film could cross the Rs 100 Cr milestone at least.
On the other hand, this situation seems to be an advantage for 'Jersey' that is coming up this week.
Nobody can predict the fate of any film. '83' is one such film with great content but unsatisfied collection.
