With so much craze and hype building around Baahubali 2: The Conclusion that is just three weeks away from hitting the marquee, the makers tried to cash in on the hype by rereleasing Baahubali: The Beginning again.
First part of the epic was rereleased in huge number of screens all over India, but it did turn out as expected.
Although Baahubali: The Beginning grossed around Rs.40 lakh on Friday, audience didn’t show much interest in watching it at the cinemas again.
With Baahubali Bluray prints available, people can watch the film at home if they want to revisit the beginning before they see the conclusion. That must be the reason for low turnouts which resulted in cancellation of shows.
This doesn’t mean that there isn’t hype around the upcoming second volume of the magnum opus.
It will surely take earth shattering opening on April 28, but the makers ploy to make some more from its first part flopped big time. In fact they had to pay the rents for many theaters where the collection is almost negligible.
