Prabhas is back and this time he has teamed up with Anushka and Richa Gangopadhyay for his outing. The music is by Devi Sri Prasad and the lyrics are penned by Ramajogayya Sastry. So let us have a look at how the songs are.
Mirchi Mirchi
This is the title song of the film and it is a pure mass number. The highlight in this is the voice of the female singer and the folk beats given by Devi Sri Prasad is foot tapping. The slang used in the language is quite typical and though the pace of the song is not fast, the number will catch the attention of the front benchers.
Yahoon Yahoon
This is more like a Bollywood flavored number and it starts off in somewhat western Bhangra style. As it is there are few Hindi lines which suits the mood. This is a youth track and as usual Devi Sri has kept the pace in a moderate level with a mix of traditional and western beats. The lyrics are written with good peppy masala so it is an enjoyable number.
Idhedho Bagundhe
After some mass and youthful beats, Devi Sri has gone into some romantic mood and this number is the showcase for that. As usual, he didn’t let go of his western style but the melody quotient is good. The choice of electronic beats is variety and the vocals have worked in good tandem with that. The lyrics describing the beauty of a woman is naughty and nice.
Pandagala
This is the highlight song of the album and it is pumped with high adrenalin. The lyrics are very intense and it gets a big thrust with the vocals. As usual, DSP has used a tune which will have a haunting effect to the listeners. There is a majestic touch of emotion in this composition. Though it is an offbeat genre track in songs it will score high marks.
Barbie Girl
Though the title reminds us of the western track by Aqua, this is more Desi number and it is an energetic song. There is a sense of Arabic beats to the tune and the pace is swift. The chemistry between both singers is good. The lyrics are a mix of English and other words. This is more of a time pass track but will not leave a lasting impact.
Nee Choopula
This is more like the sad version of the song ‘Pandagala’ and a small bit. It runs on a slow note and the music is more downplayed with the energy. It could mostly be a pathos song in the film so not much to be spoken about.
Darlingey
It is the folk item song of the album and since the film has Prabhas, the title is more apt knowing his usage of the word. The beats are very Desi and the feel of the song is pure mass. There are few foot tapping tunes in between and the highlight is the lyrics which are having interesting parlances. Overall, this is another energetic offering from Devi Sri.
