USA Elections: Citizens Vow to Leave Homeland

USA Elections: Citizens Vow to Leave Homeland

Ahead of the upcoming U.S. presidential election a considerable number of Americans are considering moving abroad fearing the direction the country could take depending on the election's outcome.

In a local survey a question posed to nearly 2,000 individuals revealed that many are seriously contemplating relocation if their preferred candidate does not win.

Both Democratic and Republican voters alike have expressed concerns about the future of the country with some fearing a shift towards authoritarianism while others worry about economic issues, gun violence and rising political polarization.

Each one has his own understanding about the probable outcome depending on the winer.

Among the concerns are also personal safety for minority groups such as the LGBTQ+ community with respondents voicing fear over potential changes to healthcare policies and civil rights protections.

Popular destinations for those considering a move include Canada, Mexico and Vietnam with some already planning their exits. These individuals many in their prime working years cite a growing sense of instability and dissatisfaction with the current political climate as driving factors behind their decision to seek residency abroad.

As the election nears it’s clear for many that the outcome may not only shape the country's future but also determine their own decision to stay or leave.
