Two Indians Died In A Motorcycle Crash in USA

Bridgeport, Connecticut: At 1:05 p.m. on Thursday, the Bridgeport Emergency Operations Center received a report of a motorcycle crash at the intersection of Waldemere Avenue and Atlantic Street.

Bridgeport Fire Engine 3, American Medical Response (AMR), and Bridgeport police quickly arrived at the scene. Officers found a man and a woman lying unresponsive in the grass next to a motorcycle off the road near Atlantic Street.

AMR personnel attended to both individuals, but tragically, they succumbed to their injuries at the scene, according to police reports.

The victims were identified as Rohith Gurumurthy, 29, who was operating the motorcycle, and Zaveriya Shaikh, 23, who was a passenger.

According to initial findings, police said the two were riding a 2016 black Ducati Scrambler 800, traveling east on Waldemere Road and then onto Atlantic Street when Gurumurthy lost control.

The motorcycle veered onto the curb and came to rest near the safety bollards on Atlantic Street. The Bridgeport Serious Crash Investigation Team responded to the scene to investigate the incident further.
