Hyderabad (PTI): The bodies of two students, who were shot dead in Lousiana University in US, were cremated at their native places in Andhra Pradesh on Sunday.
Komma Chandrasekhar Reddy and Allam Kiran Kumar, who had been pursuing PhDs in Lousiana, were killed by unidentified assailants in an apartment inside the campus on December 14.
The bodies were brought here by a flight from Lousiana last night.
A report from Kunrool said the body of Reddy was cremated at Kallur cremation ground where local MP Kotla Suryaprakash Reddy and District Collector M Dana Kishaore were among those present.
The mortal remains of Kumar was cremated at Manchiryal in Adilabad district.
Ruling Congress chief whip D Sridhar Babu, Luxettipet MLA N Devakar Rao, Civil Liberties Committee leaders Varavara Rao and Haragipal were also present at the cremation ground.
