TANA Politics Resemble Trump's Non-Acceptance

TANA elections have concluded, and the results have been declared. The incumbent group lost to the new group. Although it has been 10 days since the results were announced, the transfer of power has not occurred as per the system.

Similar to how Donald Trump did not accept the defeat, the incumbent group is also refusing to accept their defeat, alleging irregularities in the voting process. It is worth noting that it was the incumbent group that introduced the system of electronic voting from home.

Typically, after election results are announced, the board should declare the winners as members of the executive committee, identify those elected as board members, and officially confirm their assumption of responsibilities. However, even after ten days, there are protests on social media about the delayed announcement, and the board has not made any statement regarding this matter.

Reports suggest that some defeated members have approached the Election Committee seeking clarification on the election results. TANA members are expressing objection and frustration through various platforms, stating that the elected individuals have not been given their respective posts.

Within TANA, there are two groups: the Niranjan Sringavarapu group (led by former president Jay Taluri) and the Naren Kodali group (supported by former president Anjaiah Chaudhary).

Differences between these factions have been escalating since last year, with accusations and counter-accusations. The Niranjan faction, having the majority in the board, has been making decisions in their favor. They introduced online voting for the first time, thinking it would secure their victory and entrusted the election management to organizations named Election Trust and Electigrity, both experienced in conducting various elections in America.

Amidst this power struggle and the possibility of the defeated group approaching the court, TANA's members and all Telugu people in America, who have a regard for TANA, assert that the organization's reputation is being tarnished by certain elders' actions following the elections and result announcements.
