Ramoji Rao Tasting Bitterness Of His Sins

Ramoji Rao Tasting Bitterness Of His Sins
"Atyut kataihi papa punyaihi
Iha eeva phalamaasnuthey"
-         Ramayanam

'A man who bags excess of sins or virtues in his life time would start experiencing the results of that in same birth and continue for entire next birth", says Ramayana.

As the doctrine of Karma says, every sin or virtue boomerangs without any doubt. Ramoji Rao, the media baron, who has climbed the zenith of fame in his profession has been seeing the results of his sins now. From a humble background he has grown up like a media moghal. He hardly did any Samaritan activity when he has grown rich. He has seen everything in his life from the lens of business. At last he also looked at his family members and relations from business angle. At the age of 73, he is branded as a crooked father who is selfish and self centric by his own son. The banner interview of Suman on 'Sakshi' revealed every skeleton in the cupboard of Ramoji's character.

The interview has brought very big sympathy wave for Suman, and a massive curse for Ramoji. Will there be any old father who still thinks about his money and property when his son lies on death bed as cancer patient? Will there be any father who brings papers to take signatures from his son for business settlements at that time? Will there be any father who neglects and criticizes his son when the latter shows some innovation and creativity in writing or acting?

When the feelers are taken from different segments followed by Suman-Prabhakar interview in 'Sakshi', it's revealed that Ramoji is highly egoistic and none should contradict his idea or thought or interest. Only such people can stay with him. Atluri Rama Rao is one example who lived in Ramoji's camp for decades together just as his 'yes man'. And the people like Ajay Shanti also stayed in his camp eulogizing Ramoji Rao from time to time for heir survival. And Ramoji always felt that writing, acting and artistic talents are related to poor and middle class people but not for business class families like his. He always treated business is above all talents. Hence in the process he ignored his son's talents.

It is true that Ramoji likes some selected people in film industry like Bapu-Ramana. When Suman was dealing with mythological serials in ETV, he ignored Bapu and Ramana and hence Ramoji developed dissatisfaction on Suman.

On a whole, it is clash of opinions between father and son to see in macro level. But when seen in karma perspective, Ramoji is experiencing the results of his own sins which are known to himself. His son Suman said that it is a bane taking birth as Ramoji's son. Is that not enough for Ramoji Rao to get depressed and dejected? Will Ramoji come out to say his version in this aspect? If he keeps silent we have to consider 'mounam ardhangeekaaram'.
