The election heat in the USA is rising. With only three months left until the election, the candidates on both sides—Kamala Harris and Donald Trump—have tightened their belts for the historical debate in the first week of September.
Apart from that, what is observed is that a major chunk of the media is behind Kamala Harris, supporting her and boosting her image with hype and hoopla. This didn’t happen when Biden’s name was on the ballot, but it started as soon as Kamala Harris was announced as the presidential candidate. Why is this happening?
Basically, a major chunk of media other than Fox News dislikes Donald Trump and does not want to see him as president again. He ignored the media during his presidency, which didn't go well with them.
The media was silent as long as Biden’s name was in contention because they had little hope that Democrats would return to power under his leadership. But now the media seems to be convinced that Kamala Harris may provide a tough challenge to Donald Trump and secure a place in the White House. So, they are all backing her now.
We have seen in history that candidates who have had substantial backing from the media have won in some instances and lost in others. We don’t know on which side the majority of voters will stand in the end. Media support alone cannot reflect the winning chances of a candidate, but it also cannot be underestimated.
